After earning his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University, Greg spent several years gaining professional experience in corporate sustainability and local policy before returning to grad school. His research focuses on how commercial and industrial facilities–which consume 2/3 of global electricity–can help lead the energy transition through renewable energy procurement, demand flexibility, and electrification. Through his research, he hopes to investigate the emerging trend of load-matched renewable energy procurement goals, which involves purchasing 100% renewable energy that is produced in the same region and in the same hour as it is consumed.
