Meena grew up in Singapore before earning a double degree in Engineering and Environmental Policy at Harvey Mudd College. During her time as an undergraduate, she was involved in a variety of summer research projects including indoor air quality sensing at the National University of Singapore, environmental design for elderly and disabled people in Osaka, Japan, and net zero energy buildings at Harvey Mudd College. For her final year engineering project, she and a team of students developed both technical and policy components of an energy management system for a bottle manufacturing company. Meena enjoys conducting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of engineering and policy, and going forward she will particularly focus on building energy efficiency and the transition to renewable energy.

The Energy and Efficiency Institute (EEI) at UC Davis is a leading university institution advancing impactful energy and energy efficiency solutions.
