Yanning received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, and a Master’s degree in Energy Science and Technology from ETH Zurich. During her master studies, she interned at the International Energy Agency (IEA), working on system integration of renewables, as well as policy of power system transformation. She is passionate about building a more flexible, decarbonized, and sustainable energy system. At UC Davis, she will be conducting multidisciplinary research on the interaction of electric vehicles with the power grid.
