Maria received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of Gujrat, Pakistan, and was awarded a USAID funded scholarship for her master’s in energy systems engineering from NUST, Pakistan. Maria was sent to Arizona State University by the Energy Systems department at NUST for energy research training, where she worked on developing effectively transparent contacts for thin film solar cells. She is a Fulbright PhD working on energy storage or artificial photosynthesis.
