Vinayak earned his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai, where he developed a strong foundation in renewable energy systems and energy management. Before joining UC Davis, Vinayak worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Worley, leading initiatives in energy transition and sustainability for large-scale projects. His professional experience includes optimizing mechanical systems for renewable diesel projects and leveraging automation to enhance efficiency. Vinayak’s research interests lie in advancing sustainable energy solutions and integrating cutting-edge technologies for a low-carbon future. Through the Energy Graduate Group, he aims to deepen his expertise in these areas and contribute to global energy transitions.
