Research Interests: Renewable Energy & Biofuels, Public Policy, Energy Economics

Miguel is a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from UC Merced. While achieving his undergraduate degree, he pursued several projects ranging from electric vehicles, unmanned vehicles, medical assistance devices, and agricultural devices. Miguel’s key interests are in renewable energy, as he hopes to contribute to the solution on several fronts – from the engineering end to the policy and advocacy front. Outside of his studies and working on his cars, Miguel spends most of his time participating in advocacy work for the UC, where he serves as a Student Regent on the UC Board of Regents.
