Magdalena Brum: Magdalena is a mechanical engineer who has been working in the energy field for over 10 years. She started to develop her passion for sustainable energy back in Uruguay while working in climate change mitigation projects and evaluating energy generation opportunities using industrial byproducts. She came to the US in 2011 to further pursue her passion and get her Master’s degree at UC Davis with focus on Energy Systems. During that time, she worked as a Program Manager at the Program for International Energy Technologies where she coordinated energy-related activities within the program and participated in research projects on campus. Since 2015, Magdalena has been working as a Project Engineer at kW Engineering providing energy audit and retrocommissioning services. Her professional experience encompasses a wide array of market sectors including residential, commercial offices, data centers, high-tech campuses, schools, retail, and food processing.
Jeff Gleason: Jeff is a product manager at Google focused building thoughtful energy services for the connected home. Prior to joining Google, Jeff was a leader in PG&E's Customer Energy Solutions team, with responsibility for the delivery of key products and programs in PG&E's energy efficiency portfolio. Jeff holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from UC Davis, where he was a graduate student researcher for the Energy Efficiency Center (now the Energy and Efficiency Institute).
Michael Lingenfelter: Michael is a Relationship Manager and Assistant Vice President with Wells Fargo’s CleanTech Commercial Banking Group. Michael oversees the bank’s relationships with and provides credit underwriting and financial advising services to a variety of CleanTech companies across the country, both large and small, in Renewable Generation, Clean Transportation, Energy Storage, AgTech, Water, and Energy Efficiency. He is also the team’s Energy Efficiency Sector and Transportation Sector Leader, currently exploring new lending structures and opportunities at scale in these sectors for the bank. He is a Board Member of the Seattle-based CleanTech Alliance. Previously, Michael worked in management consulting with Maia Strategy Group and Kaiser Associates, and in non-profit community and youth development through soccer with D.C. United, Let’s Move, and City Football Club. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance with distinction from University of California at Davis, where he was a Leadership Scholar, a Research Fellow at the Energy Efficiency Center and Western Cooling Efficiency Center, and led the GSM’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Club. He also studied at Instituto Technológico Autonomo de México in Mexico City during his M.B.A. and is fluent in Spanish. He holds a B.A. Cum Laude in International Relations from Tufts University where he was a Gibson Scholar and Varsity Soccer athlete.
