Bruce Chamberlain

Bruce Chamberlain’s career has focused on energy efficiency and leadership in public, private, and non-profit sectors. He is committed to bending the curve of carbon emissions in proven and creative ways. Over the past 30 years, Bruce has gained experience in managing, supervising and coordinating activities and operations of diverse stakeholders within the energy efficiency industry in California. He has managed research and implementation of innovative technologies, such as LED lighting, integrated building controls, and commissioning. As Campus Energy Manager at UC Berkeley, Bruce has been involved with strategic planning efforts involving UCOP, Facilities Services, Sustainability, and Capital Projects. He manages development, funding, and implementation of energy and water efficiency projects throughout the UCB campus and guides monitoring and communication of campus-wide energy use to improve operational efficiency while providing a safe and comfortable environment for teaching, research, and public service.
Mr. Chamberlain is also a member of the Board of Directors in the Northern California Chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Labs (I2SL), a non-profit organization devoted to the principles of sustainable laboratories and related high-technology facilities, from design to engineering to operation.
