Workshop History
The Global Energy Managers Workshop (GEM) was launched at UC Davis in 2019. The workshop transitioned to a virtual format beginning in 2020, drawing hundreds of participants from across the globe. GEM’s mission is to unite facility managers, students, and faculty in sharing innovative strategies for energy conservation, cost efficiency, and carbon reduction. Hosted by UC Davis Facilities, the Energy and Efficiency Institute, and the Sustainable Campus, Sustainable Cities Initiative, GEM continues to serve as a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
