This year is our 15th Anniversary and in celebration of this special occasion each month we will be featuring a photo from our archive. Above – established in 2011, the Center for Water-Energy Efficiency advances water management solutions for the integrated savings of water and energy resources.
Students Publish Papers on EV Batteries
Energy Graduate Group students and faculty published several papers on EV batteries. Margaret Slattery, Jessica Dunn, and Alissa Kendall conducted a critical review of the peer-reviewed literature on EV traction battery reuse and recycling to asses how transportation of end-of-life batteries is represented. Tobiah Steckel, Alissa Kendall, and Hanjiro Ambrose developed a model for estimating the Levelized Cost of Storage for second-life battery energy storage systems and developed a harmonized approach to compare them to new battery energy storage systems.
