Afshan received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan and master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. While earning her master’s degree, Afshan received a semester of energy research training at Arizona State University, Tempe USA, where she researched the performance evaluation of solar PV technologies under different climatic conditions. During her Ph.D at UC Davis, Afshan will continue her research regarding implementation of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and energy management.
