Sagal Alisalad

Research Interests: Net Zero Energy, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Justice

Prior to joining the Energy Graduate Group, Sagal worked as an Assistant Researcher at the Applied Economics Clinic, a non-profit consulting group that conducts analysis for public interest organizations on topics related to energy, the environment, and equity. She earned her B.A. in International Relations with a regional focus in Africa, and in Environmental Studies from Tufts University. Some of Sagal’s interdisciplinary research interests include: energy affordability, environmental justice, economy-wide decarbonization, and neocolonialism in the energy sector. At UC Davis, Sagal aims to build on her current research experience and understanding of policy, and to further refine her technical skills in mapping and data analysis.
