Research Interests: Land-Water-Energy Nexus, Agrivoltaics

Freya received a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and management on the Climate Change and Air Quality Track from the University of California, Davis. During her senior year at UCD I got the opportunity to work under Daphne Condon and Dr. Hernandez at the Wild Energy Lab. They analyzed each of the fifty state wildlife action plans (SWAP) and how each state focused on expanding solar and wind to avoid or support conservation efforts. This sparked Freya’s interest in the land-water-energy nexus and how the increased demand for energy can be combined with renewable expansion, land use changes along with the water needs.
