Takeyuki Yamaki serves as a liaison to the Board of Advisors. He is chief of Strategic Technology Planning at Panasonic Corporation. He is responsible for advancing Panasonic’s future home energy management, security and wellness-living based on resident sensing technology. Yamaki is also leading an effort to introduce an edge computer in homes to integrate smart and sustainable community management. He conducts research on user experience and user interface design of advanced sensor networks and home energy management systems. Previously, he studied community-wide CO2 mitigation efforts by European local governments using advanced initiatives in the environmental energy field. He also managed developments of photocatalyst-based coating material, OLED lighting and Organic Photovoltaics at Panasonic. Yamaki received his BS and MS degrees from Kyushu University.
