Project 5: Microchannel Heat Exchanger Designs for Power Generation and Cooling

Background

This project will enhance energy efficiency in power generation and HVAC using high-performance microchannel heat exchangers.

Project Goals

  • Design and characterization of a high effectiveness, low-pressure drop recuperator for a waste heat recovery supercritical carbondioxide (sCO2) cycle.
  • Design and characterization of a microchannel evaporator for an air conditioning unit.
