Iva Ridjan Skov is an Associate Professor in Energy Planning and Renewable Energy Systems at Aalborg University Denmark. She holds a PhD in electrofuels and renewable energy systems.

Her research is focused on electrofuel (PtX) pathways for liquid and gaseous fuels for 100% renewable systems and energy system analysis of these pathways from technical, socio-economic and policy perspectives. Analyses include demand side, energy system impacts, cross-sectorial integration, and utilisation of by-products such as waste heat from electrolysis.

She is currently leading several WPs in different PtX and CCU projects that look into PtX jet-fuel (e-jet) pathways and market potential, climate vulnerability of future renewable energy systems and roadmap for hydrogen hubs in Nordics.

She is a member of Academic Council at Aalborg University, International Science Council of UNIRI, PtX External Reference Group and a member of the Croatian Academy of Engineers.

She is program coordinator for the Master’s Program Sustainable Cities at Aalborg University.
